Bolton is now the best indicator of the Trump administration. If we do attack Iran (almost certainly based on a flimsy pretext) then Trump has to be acknowledged as part of the swamp and cannot be trusted from that point forward. We’ll find out soon enough, since Bolton isn’t one to wait patiently for anything.
Unlike other promises (build the wall, lock her up, drain the swamp, etc) where excuses can be made for endless delays and/or waffling, war is much more concrete. Trump claims to be wavering over Syria, so here’s to hoping he doesn’t opt for the Nestea Plunge into lunacy over Iran.
