It’s Time to Stop Saying – “But Cops Have a Dangerous Job”

Screen Shot 2016-07-07 at 11.26.53 AM

Earlier today, I mentioned that I couldn’t muster the energy to write more words about the police murder of Philando Castile. Things have changed.

As is often the case, it was a series of tweets I composed that provided the inspiration for this piece. One tweet in particular really set things off:

I wasn’t expecting the enormous reaction this tweet generated, but I was happy to see that it really connected with so many people who had never heard of me and never read my stuff before. I continued with my tweet storm until most of my angst was out, and then realized I needed to put these thoughts into a post. So let’s start with the title of this post.

One of the tiresome things I often hear immediately after one of these inhumane police executions is that “cops have a dangerous job.” So what’s your point?

I grew up with the understanding that the role of a police officer was to “Protect and Serve,” a motto which has been used by the Los Angeles police department since 1955, and has since been adopted by police across the country. So let’s think about what that means: Protect and Serve. The first word implies courage and the second implies sacrifice. As such, we should expect police officers to first and foremost see themselves as selfless guardians of public safety. Ask yourself, do you see cops this way? I don’t.

Personally, I am and always have been very privileged, yet I can’t say my overall experience with police has been a particularly positive one. In the affluent communities in which I’ve spent my entire life, police have never acted violently or illegally toward me, but they haven’t been especially kind or generous either. My interactions with police have pretty much consisted of them taking my money for minor infractions. Moreover, in most cases they seem to take a considerable degree of pleasure in doing so. Again, this is the experience of someone who is extremely privileged.

As such, I can only imagine what the day-to-day experiences of the marginalized and poor might be like. Unfortunately, these days I no longer have to imagine since we have almost daily video evidence of what it’s like, and it’s too often simply barbaric.

I don’t know exactly when it happened, but police no longer seem to view the general public as citizens under their protection. In poor communities, they seem to literally view the public as their enemy and the streets as some sort of combat zone. In affluent communities, the public is often seen as a captive audience to be abused financially. This didn’t come out of nowhere, and it’s very much a top down problem.

One of the key factors in all this relates to how the U.S. government is systematically and intentionally arming police departments around the country with weapons of war. I’ve covered this trend repeatedly in the past, and to bring home the point, see the following excerpt from the 2014 post, The Militarization of Police Continues…Machine Guns, Grenade Launchers, Silencers and More:

During the Obama administration, according to Pentagon data, police departments have received tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft.

The equipment has been added to the armories of police departments that already look and act like military units. Police SWAT teams are now deployed tens of thousands of times each year, increasingly for routine jobs. Masked, heavily armed police officers in Louisiana raided a nightclub in 2006 as part of a liquor inspection. In Florida in 2010, officers in SWAT gear and with guns drawn carried out raids on barbershops that mostly led only to charges of “barbering without a license.”

This deliberate militarization of police trains cops to view the public as milk cows to be fleeced at best, and the enemies in a war zone at worst. To prove the point, watch the following recruitment video for the Portsmouth, Virginia police department highlighted in the post, Iraq War Veteran Blows the Whistle on Shameless Propaganda Being Taught at Police Academies:

So how do we reverse this trend? First, the militarization of police departments must be stopped and reversed. The American landscape is not a combat zone and it shouldn’t be treated as such. It’s unnecessary, counterproductive and uncivilized. Second, the nation needs to move toward community policing. What does this mean? It means police officers should ideally come from within the communities they police. They should view the public they have promised to “protect and serve” as human beings as opposed to an easily pillaged captive audience.

So how to we get there? It has to be from the top down. There should be accountability for the Chief of Police when one of his or her officers acts in the manner that the officer in Falcon Heights, Minnesota did. He should lose his job immediately. If there’s no accountability for the people at the top then nothing will really change. Kind of like with bankers and politicians.

To conclude, I’d like share a couple more tweets to summarize my points.

  1. I think if there is a statewide board covering police standards and training they and/or their executive director should be the first to go unless they have taken recent action to eliminate police shootings of unarmed people.

  2. Right On Mike……We feel the same way we’re treated as the enemy and the bank for the out of control Thin Blue Line..A soldier in combat can’t just start shooting unarmed people, these people cops need be tried for there crimes, and sent to prison, and superiors as well as any damages to victims families to come from police wages and pensions not the taxpayers.Chiraq ( Chicago)has paid at least a half a billion $$ to victims families over the last few years.

  3. An interesting and potential solution would be to require any monetary damages awarded to citizens harmed by police would have to come from police retirement funds, rather than from the taxpayers. Don’t recall where I read this idea, but it made sense to me at the time.

  4. Make police police brutality settlements come from police retirement funds or pension plans and see if brutality doesn’t plummet to an all time low.

    • YEAH!!! There you go! Make those payments come straight out of their retirement accounts, and you will see them do a 180 and offer to treat you to some coffee and doughnuts instead of a beat down or shooting you in the head!
The police forces ALL operate a scam of making people pay lots of dough for violations of only alleged contracts. There is no contract in force if you are not a 100% willing party to it! They know it, but rip us off anyway because they get paid to do it.
Just had me an idea! Here’s my latest article for everyone to read. Just prove me wrong, if you can, Dear Readers!!

Pulling the Teeth out of the Mouth of the Legal System

Not many people realize that the legal system is a complete scam, and even fewer realize that it has teeth which can be easily pulled out, quite easily, in fact. The forceps that are used for this task come straight out of the legal system itself, believe it or not! These forceps come in various sizes, shapes and styles, but they all do the exact same job. They expose the contradictions and hypocrisies of the legal system, as well as the crimes that the legal system commits in order to function. All that one has to do to identify these forceps, and then use them, is to thoroughly read and understand a few key elements of the legal system, such as its basic premise for existence and from where it derives its authority. There are a few more which will be touched on as you read further. And as more and more of these tools are learned, much confidence in using them will be gained.
The legal system from its very beginnings, when the King’s Court was seen as becoming too corrupted to function properly as a place where people could get their due justice when they had been wronged, has been nothing but a huge scam. Not even the men who spoke so eloquently on behalf of the plaintiffs and defendants way back then ever saw that the legal system would be its own undoing one day! But that time has indeed come upon us now, and all that we have to do is open our eyes and greet it like a brand new day dawning upon us, with a cheery grin and a song in our heart.
The various policing agencies are a rather easy set of teeth to yank right out of that meat grinding maw of the extremely ugly beast we call the legal system. One way is to get into the record the fact that “witnesses” for the State enjoy being able to lie while under oath without any fear at all of perjury charges being filed against them. This is supposedly allowed under the guise of it furthering the interests of justice! Just HOW are the interests of justice served by certain people being allowed to lie while under an oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? That’s not justice at all, that’s criminal collusion to say the least! It makes a complete mockery of that oath! If this fact seems too incredible to believe, all one has to do is make a test by firstly reading Terry Reed’s book, Compromised; Bush, Clinton and the CIA. And then ask a lieyer (without telling him/her that you are onto their scam) if that is true or not. If they say that it’s a lie, then bring up the fact that that very thing happened in Reed’s case, and ask them how they can reconcile the two things. You see, ALL good attorneys always know the answers to their questions BEFORE they ask them! Unless it is one that comes out of some testimony, the answers of which will be verified later on to make sure that the truth was being told.
Another pair of pliers that can be used is to show a conflict of interest with any of the actors involved. These so-called judges are a good place to start, since they are all just Executive Administrators who do not even swear a proper oath of office before they begin hearing cases. And they never disclose the fact that they are actually acting as the lead prosecutor in any case. These EAs take a portion of the proceeds of a court case in the form of a payment into their retirement account. In “income tax” cases, they can get a cash payment of ten thousand dollars upon a conviction!! Isn’t that a conflict of interest there? Do the arresting officers get any kind of a perk or bonus from their actions? Or does their department? Isn’t that biased policing?
After many years of study of the legal system and its machinations, something was suddenly realized. It is the incontrovertible fact that the entire legal system runs on fraud of one kind or another. And since fraud is a crime, exposing it for the whole world to see, negates any pretense that it is an honest system and one has to endure it. Let us look at the definition of just two words now, and see how they fit into this tool box of ways to beat the legal system at its own game, shall we? The first one is the word contract. It is defined in any law dictionary as having five essential elements to it, and the violation of even just one of them to any degree then renders the whole thing void. Those five elements are competent parties, subject matter, a legal consideration, mutuality of agreement and mutuality of obligation. Notice now that these are given in terms of absolutes, meaning that there is no lee way at all in any of them. They are either there or they are not. For how can anyone measure how much deviation from them can occur before the alleged contract is finally vacated? That is a very deadly arrow to pull from our quiver. Another word is fraud. According to several court cases, fraud vitiates all that it comes into contact with. Fraud just touching something renders that thing completely contaminated and of no further concern to us. How can it be otherwise? If it is some other way, once again, what is that measuring instrument which we use to mete out the appropriate amount of fraud to make sure that we get just the right amount?
Any alleged contract can be vacated for fraud, threat, duress, coercion, mistake, illegality, immorality, impossibility, insanity or minority of age. Another tool in this box is The Seven Elements of Jurisdiction. One can easily find them by just the most cursory look around a law library or online. The Void for Vagueness Doctrine has been used many times to yank whole sets of legal system teeth in one fell swoop, as well as proof of a mistaken identity. So you see now, the entire legal system is just riddled with holes, some of them big enough to sail large ships through three abreast with plenty of room left over. Other holes may not look to be so cavernous at first glance, but all holes leak something. And once a small leak has begun, it can turn into a major spill very quickly. Now some people may not like to remove those chains of the legal system from around their ankles, because they feel that it is their duty, in some sort of a perverted way of thinking, to be ripped off and abused by it and its actors. Or maybe it goes against their brainwashing in the public fool system or some religious order to seek freedom. And to them I say, well, please have a very good time with that then! But if others do not want to be made a victim of the legal system, why should they be so made? Just to keep the others company in their cell next door? We should have better things to do with our precious time than that.
Yet even more tools are The Three Magic Questions. What is the EXACT AMOUNT of fraud that ANY man or woman has the right to commit? What is the EXACT AMOUNT of fraud that ANY man or woman has an actual obligation to endure? What is the BASIC PREMISE that is being operated off of, in the instant case? Those three questions right there have the lieyers heading for the hills when they are asked. They have no real defense against them, so they MUST run away as fast as they can and hope that they can outrun them.
So when enough people are educated with this material, the current legal system will be starved more and more, eventually becoming so weakened it will just die. When enough court cases are dismissed and no profits are being created from them, the various policing agencies will have to curtail their criminal activities. Like civil asset forfeitures. That is the real reason why Prohibition was repealed, too many court cases were being lost due to jury nullification and the courts were losing money hand over fist. Make no mistake about it, courts ARE businesses which must show a profit each fiscal year. Every court in America is listed in Dunn & Bradstreet as a business!! And, the federal government couldn’t keep shame off its face with a law on the books that couldn’t be enforced, so Prohibition had to be repealed.
One fine day, we will be able to go back to Common Law courts with real juries of our peers; our friends, neighbors and business acquaintances, for who else should know us better in order to judge us? The judges will be there only to act as referees to keep things running smoothly and the jurors will be the ones who judge our guilt or innocence based upon the factual evidence presented.

  5. Very good post. There needs to be more discussion and action on the failure of policing. Police departments are very bureaucratic institutions that the elected officals are reluctant to reform. You need an active inspection program that will uncover abuse and fraud and not just some pr community board.

Community policing can work if there are qualified candidates and not just someone wanting a pay check. Officers could be offered housing in the communities they serve. Small communities need to subcontract their police officers from the larger cities or counties. This would allow for better training and the ability to remove bad officers and allow for career advancement. They still can wear a local uniform, but there would be more oversight of the personnel.

Added to the local government bureaucracy there is the police union The union makes it difficult to discipline officers who break the rules.

  6. As I was fighting a bogus red light ticket in San Carlos, CA, (before successfully speaking at their city council meeting and getting them removed) I asked the cop that was providing me with the flawed data if it wasn’t his job to “serve and protect”. He said, “No, it is my job to uphold the law”.

  8. A few years ago I was standing behind a guy in the checkout line at a grocery store and he was wearing a black t-shirt with large white writing that said:

“A lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of sheep.”

    on the back.

Then I notice a much smaller “APD (Atlanta Police Department) Softball League” below it.

It annoyed me so much I had to say something to this little 20 something height challenged cheese dick. So I calmly said; “You do realize that some of what you might think are sheep, are actually ravenous wolves in disguise?”.

He turned halfway around to look at me and said, “No, I didn’t know that”, with a smarmy look on his face. My reply was, “Well you’ve been warned. So I suggest you focus on protect and serve”.

  9. The degeneration of the peaceful society is illustrated as the genesis of evil. To better understand evil and identify steps to correct this phenomenon, I suggest everyone read:

“Political Ponerology, A Science on the Nature of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes” by Andrew M. Lobaczewski.

Here in this book will one begin to understand how and why peaceful coexistence deteriorates to tyranny and fuels the genesis of evil.

  10. Yeah, they try to portray the “job” as just like any other, like being a checker at Wally World, welder in a muffler shop or mechanic at a car dealership. It is anything but like that.
A former GF of mine used to be a nanny for a couple who were officers, and when the patrolman father came home, the two young girls (5 and 7 at the time) INSTANTLY went from happy and playful to full on terror and panic attacks! They always wanted to go and hide in their room to get away from him. They wanted to hide in the closet or under the bed!! He was always yelling at them for no reason, taking the frustrations of his “job” out on them verbally. Rita, herself being a mother of two beautiful girls was just in tears over it all and had to quit after 3 weeks. It was giving her fits to see those two girls being mentally abused like that. The wife was a dispatcher, so she wasn’t so bad. There was never any hugging dad when he came through that doorway, just abject fear and mind numbing terror in their eyes and looking down at the ground while bent over.
The various police agencies are just the feeder mechanism for the totally rigged up and corrupted legal system. Once again, Trump hit the nail right on the head there!!

    • This i have felt with neighbors and suspected a pychopathic gang past. The kids scream in terror though it is diguised as rough play by dad. Often you find dad is thug ex cop or ex con in rehab.

  11. What is needed is to call out by name cops involved in brutality, shootings, killings of dogs or any mistreatment of any sort towards innocent citizens. Use their names in public. Bring attention to them. Call your local news program or the local papers. Blog about them and call the city council and senate offices. The biggest challenge in this country is Americans don’t speak out. Are too lazy. Would rather leave it up to others. THAT HAS TO STOP. Show some fucking courage America! Cops are followers not leaders. They don’t think for the best interest of the citizenry. Speak out about this shit. Do something.

  12. Young black men fear being killed by cops. Rookie cops fear heing killed by young black men. The first step is to put out videos on how to behave when police stop you. They are scared and if you make sudden moves they will shoot you. Next make cops watch videos about being non confrontational unless its a violent crime in progress. Finally fund communities to privatize security in the poorest areas like in the richest.
Instead of a police state a network of private security guard companies. Train decent citizens to be deputized as guards. Stop recruiting gang bullies. Finally restore posse comitatus. Army kill the enemy over there. Police guard citizens and only kill fugitives and violent predators to save citizens lives here. Take the oath sworn seriously.

Both videos have to be put in a larger context of what happened before the video and the motive for the police. Also a background of both deceased people would be in order. A good objective judge has to see more than one side. I refer you to the video put out by Stefan Molyneux called The Truth About The Alton Sterling and Philando Castile Shootings

  15. Isn’t it interesting, how in the days leading up to this recent DALLAS COP SHOOTING, the entire focus of the MSM (Main Stream Media) was on Hitlary Clintons emails/crimes, and how Comey of the FBI had basically given her a FREE PASS ~ a GET-OUT-OF-GOING-TO-JAIL card, and then, suddenly, this DALLAS SHOOTING OF POLICE, which turns the entire focus of the MSM (Main Stream Media) AWAY FROM HITLARY CLINTON’S CRIMES, and places it right back on the “gun control” issue!

“CNN Immediately Seizes Upon Dallas Massacre To Target 2nd Amendment?”

NO SURPRISE THERE, for anyone INFORMED, & REALLY paying attention.

“Hey, let’s first kill two innocent black minorities in cold blood as a pretext to conduct a black-(covert)-op to kill five policemen and wound 7 others”

“The ‘False Flag PSYOPS’ never stop and will only intensify until the election, if there even is a presidential election!”

How quickly the MSM focus went from Hitlary Clinton’s crimes & the FBI, to the Dallas shootings. How convenient. Now, the Gun-grabbers for Hitlary, 2016, can refocus your attention on how bad guns are, rather than on how Hitlary is leading the U.S. down a path to destruction, following in the footsteps of the Kenyan, Barry Soetoro.

    http://sgtreport.com/2016/07/time-suggests-another-911-is-necessary-to-re-direct-american-anger-2/

The Western “elites” are getting desperate. All they can come up with is Jeb Bush, Hitlary Clinton, and Donald Trump in 2016? Meanwhile, they have to get American WHITES, of European Descent, to fight Arabs, in the never-ending, phony “war on terror” narrative, while simultaneously allowing as many “extremist”, “radical”, “terrorist” Muslims into the communist “EU”, and eventually, into America. Everything is just so obvious now. It’s like they can’t even hide anything any longer. Hillary Clinton works for the BUSH/CIA CRIME SYNDICATE, which, in turn, works for the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), which in turn, works for CHATHAM HOUSE in London, which is an off-spring of THE “COMMITTEE OF 300”. The “Committee of 300” is financed by predominantly “JEW”-ish Western International Central Bankers. MENA, ARKANSAS AIRPORT, mid-1980s: George H.W. Bush ~ former CIA Director (1976-1977, who oversaw the HSCA, House Select Committee on Assassination, which “re-opened” the Warren OMISSION “investigation” into the JFK Assassination! ~ remember, G.H.W. Bush was IN THE CIA, AND IN DALLAS, ON NOV. 22, 1963!), then Vice President under Ronald Reagan. Bill Clinton, then Governor of Arkansas. BARRY SEAL, CIA PILOT. GUNS FOR DRUGS. Barry Seal flew GUNS out of the Mena, Arkansas Airport to Nicaraguan Contras, and on the return flight, brought back plane-loads of COCAINE, for distribution in major U.S. cities.

The major families in the “Committee of 300” made their vast fortunes off the OPIUM TRADE in China. They control the global drug trade. The phony “war on drugs” is a WAR ON YOU. Same with the phony “war on terror”. The “Committee of 300” and their CLUB OF ROME, is also behind
“gun control”, “global warming” – oops! “climate change”, as well as the on-going global economic collapse, and the demonizing of Putin, and Russia, as PUTIN threw out the “JEW”-ISH Oligarchs in Finance and in Russia’s major industries. Russia is rich in natural resources, and the Western (predominantly “Jew”-ish) “elites” want Russia back – to generate more massive wealth for them.
