If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I harbor a great degree of derision for Google Glass. Beyond the fact that I think the contraption is essentially expensive birth control, the privacy infringing aspects of this device are dizzying. If you are my friend and start wearing Google Glass we can pretty much terminate the relationship right then and there.
Apparently, I’m not the only one, and in this hilarious segment by Jason Jones on the Daily Show, we are introduced to a new, and apropos term, “iDouche.” What is so amazing is the delusional mindset that pervades all of the “glass” wearers, to the point that one of them calls the act of being discriminated for wearing the monstrous headset a “hate crime.”
A great laugh heading into the weekend.

The criminality of the Obama Administration is at this point almost beyond description. Earlier this week I highlighted a shocking discovery in my post titled:
Charlie Rangel has been a U.S. Representative. since 1971 and is currently the third longest serving Congressperson in America. He turned 84 years old this past Wednesday, and was at the center of a tax avoidance scandal several years ago. As the Wall Street Journal reported in its 2009 article,
It’s not often that I write posts critiquing foreign nations or their leaders, as there is simply too much to focus on in my own backyard. That said, every now and again I come across something so despicable I simply cannot help but highlight the horror. Today, that thing is a person. That person, is the extraordinarily creepy Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott.
The “war on compassion” when it comes to the homeless in America has been one of Liberty Blitzkrieg’s key themes this year. There are many reasons why I find this topic to be of such tremendous importance. First and foremost, I think that if we want to see how the state and crony corporate status quo will treat everyone in the future, all you have to do is look at how the homeless are being “dealt with.” Secondly, random groups feeding the homeless in various venues is a great example of decentralized compassion. Political power hates decentralization and is quite intentionally trying to corral the homeless into the centralized bureaucratic channels over which it has total control. So this isn’t merely a humanitarian issue, it is also a front line battle in the key war of our time: Decentralization vs. Centralization.
While this story is not new, I must have missed it back in April when it first broke and it is absolutely incredible. The reason I am posting on it today is because we have new information which turns an already shocking story into something far more terrifying. So let’s get into some background first.
One of the most significant realizations to emerge since the Edward Snowden revelations, is the understanding that we need more secure tools for would be whistle-blowers to more easily provide sensitive information in a secure and anonymous manner. As such, we have seen the deployment of encrypted drop boxes by several media outlets. I highlighted one of these a little over a year ago called
The fact that that the NSA is now claiming it is “Too Big to Comply” with a court order is an extremely important revelation since it further proves that the super rich and super powerful are in no way shape or form subject to the same laws as the rest of us. The mega banks are “Too Big to Fail,” multi-national corporations are
The militarization of police forces across the U.S. has been a key theme here at Liberty Blitzkrieg for a long time. Despite the fact that crime rates have declined sharply across the nation since the early 1990’s, domestic police departments are arming as if they are about to confront battalions of Taliban at any given moment. It’s absurd, dangerous and ultimately very divisive as police act more like soldiers than protectors of the community. The most egregious recent example of “warrior cops” causing serious damage occurred in Georgia late last month and was covered in my post:
