National Geographic Reports – Chemicals Causing Infertility in Pigs are Present Throughout Human Consumer Goods

Some of the same chemicals found in the pigs’ semen storage bags are routinely used in packaging food for humans and are known to migrate into food.

Cyclic lactone, for instance, is a common by-product in adhesives used in potato chip bags and sliced meat packages. It was one of the chemicals found in high levels in the semen bags that had been used on the farms with the highest rates of reproductive failure.

Another chemical found in high levels on those farms: a compound called BADGE, a derivative of the notorious bisphenol A (BPA). It’s the building block of epoxy resins that form the basis for 95 percent of food and beverage can linings in the U.S.

– From the excellent and troubling article recently published by National Geographic, Infertility in Spanish Pigs Has Been Traced to Plastics. A Warning for Humans?

One of Liberty Blitzkrieg’s primary themes in 2013 was “food fraud.” When I use that term, what I am really referring to is the troubling fact that many of the things we consume are not what they seem to be based on what is represented by the package. From a study that showed food fraud in the U.S. was up 60% year-over-year, to pink slime in meat and the fact that the majority of “tuna” served isn’t actually tuna, the examples are seemingly endless.

If all of that wasn’t enough to convince you of how important it is to be aware of exactly what you put in your body, I don’t know what is. This is precisely why Monsanto (possibly the most evil corporation on earth) is so aggressively fighting GMO labeling bills such as the one recently passed by Vermont.

Cop Who Punched Occupy Wall Street Protester Receives $120K Annual Pension from the NYPD

Screen Shot 2014-06-14 at 1.37.52 PMAlthough I have focused a lot of my attention on the systematic mistreatment of the homeless in 2014, this is merely a symptom of a much larger cancer. That is, the very powerful and very rich abusing their status and edge to aggressively dominate and subjugate average citizens.

The manner in which this often manifests is that the full weight of the law bears down with tremendous force on the plebs for the most minor infractions, while the status quo receives blanket immunity from any and all prosecution. I’ve covered several examples of citizens being abused by law enforcement for no good reason on this site in 2014. Some notable examples are:

Video of the Day – Introducing “iDouches,” The Google Glass Wearers Who Claim Discrimination

Screen Shot 2014-06-13 at 3.29.42 PMIf you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I harbor a great degree of derision for Google Glass. Beyond the fact that I think the contraption is essentially expensive birth control, the privacy infringing aspects of this device are dizzying. If you are my friend and start wearing Google Glass we can pretty much terminate the relationship right then and there.

Apparently, I’m not the only one, and in this hilarious segment by Jason Jones on the Daily Show, we are introduced to a new, and apropos term, “iDouche.” What is so amazing is the delusional mindset that pervades all of the “glass” wearers, to the point that one of them calls the act of being discriminated for wearing the monstrous headset a “hate crime.”

A great laugh heading into the weekend.

The Obama Administration is Forcing Local Cops to Stay Silent on Surveillance

Screen Shot 2014-06-13 at 2.39.47 PMThe criminality of the Obama Administration is at this point almost beyond description. Earlier this week I highlighted a shocking discovery in my post titled: The Obama Administration is Trying to Cover up the VA Scandal by Issuing Subpoenas to Whistle-Blower Sites. In that piece, it was noted that:

Instead, it’s lawyers from the President Barack Obama administration employing the power of the administrative subpoena in a bid to siphon data from POGO’s encrypted submission portal. POGO’s site encourages whistleblowers to use Tor as the gateway and has garnered more than 700 tips about abuse and mismanagement at the US Veterans Administration after less than a month of operation.

Is Charlie Rangel the Next to Go? 22-Term New York Democrat Faces Serious Primary Threat

Screen Shot 2014-06-13 at 12.09.44 PMCharlie Rangel has been a U.S. Representative. since 1971 and is currently the third longest serving Congressperson in America. He turned 84 years old this past Wednesday, and was at the center of a tax avoidance scandal several years ago. As the Wall Street Journal reported in its 2009 article, Morality and Charlie Rangel’s Taxes:

Ever notice that those who endorse high taxes and those who actually pay them aren’t the same people? Consider the curious case of Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel, who is leading the charge for a new 5.4-percentage point income tax surcharge and recently called it “the moral thing to do.” About his own tax liability he seems less, well, fervent.

Video of the Day – Meet Australia’s Creepy Prime Minister, Tony Abbott

Screen Shot 2014-06-12 at 5.14.34 PMIt’s not often that I write posts critiquing foreign nations or their leaders, as there is simply too much to focus on in my own backyard. That said, every now and again I come across something so despicable I simply cannot help but highlight the horror. Today, that thing is a person. That person, is the extraordinarily creepy Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott.

In 33 U.S. Cities, Feeding the Homeless Has Been Criminalized

Screen Shot 2014-06-12 at 12.37.22 PMThe “war on compassion” when it comes to the homeless in America has been one of Liberty Blitzkrieg’s key themes this year. There are many reasons why I find this topic to be of such tremendous importance. First and foremost, I think that if we want to see how the state and crony corporate status quo will treat everyone in the future, all you have to do is look at how the homeless are being “dealt with.” Secondly, random groups feeding the homeless in various venues is a great example of decentralized compassion. Political power hates decentralization and is quite intentionally trying to corral the homeless into the centralized bureaucratic channels over which it has total control. So this isn’t merely a humanitarian issue, it is also a front line battle in the key war of our time: Decentralization vs. Centralization.

As I mentioned, this has been a key topic on this site in 2014. Before reading on, I suggest checking out some of my recent posts on it:

New Jersey Threatens to Take 13-Year-Old Student From His Father Due to “Non-Conforming Behavior”

Screen Shot 2014-06-11 at 3.05.38 PMWhile this story is not new, I must have missed it back in April when it first broke and it is absolutely incredible. The reason I am posting on it today is because we have new information which turns an already shocking story into something far more terrifying. So let’s get into some background first.

This is the story of Ethan Chaplin, who back in April was twirling a pencil in his seventh grade classroom in Vernon, NJ. One of the class bullies saw an opportunity to be a jerk and yelled: “He’s making gun motions, send him to juvie.”

Rather than demonstrating any sort of common sense, the teacher apparently had a panic attack and reported him, which resulted in a two-day suspension. Here’s what Vernon Superintendent Charles Maranzano had to say about it:

The Obama Administration is Trying to Cover up the VA Scandal by Issuing Subpoenas to Whistle-Blower Sites

Screen Shot 2014-06-11 at 11.55.02 AMOne of the most significant realizations to emerge since the Edward Snowden revelations, is the understanding that we need more secure tools for would be whistle-blowers to more easily provide sensitive information in a secure and anonymous manner. As such, we have seen the deployment of encrypted drop boxes by several media outlets. I highlighted one of these a little over a year ago called Strongbox, which was a project announced by the New Yorker and was what Aaron Swartz was working on just before his death.

Recently, the Washington Post and the Guardian have released something similar called SecureDrop. The Washington Post described it as such:

The Coming Digital Anarchy

Daniel Larimer, who is working on a tool called Bitshares to apply blockchain technology to banking, insurance and company shareholding, believes that this new breed of technologies will ultimately render government entirely obsolete.

“If you think about it, what is the reason for government? It’s a way of reaching global consensus over the theory of right and wrong, global consensus over who’s guilty and who’s innocent, over who owns what.

“They’re going to be losing legitimacy as more open, transparent systems are able to provide that function without having to rely on force. That’s my mission in life.”

– From the excellent article published in The Telegraph yesterday, The Coming Digital Anarchy

Many of you may have already read this article considering it generated quite a bit of buzz yesterday when it was published. For those who haven’t, I highly recommend it.

While those of us who have been interested in Bitcoin for years may not learn anything “new,” it’s a great piece to send to friends and family members who have yet to make the plunge.

For those who haven’t been a fan of Bitcoin due to natural skepticism, confusion or any other ailment, this article presents in an easy to understand manner the inherently revolutionary characteristics embedded within Blockchain technology.

We have a chance to truly decentralize power for the first time in human history. We must not let this amazing opportunity slip away.

Here are some of my favorite excerpts. From the Telegraph:
