Here’s the Undercover Video Exposing Planned Parenthood’s Sale of Fetal Body Parts

Screen Shot 2015-07-15 at 1.53.39 PM

This post isn’t about pushing either a pro-life or pro-choice position. It’s about highlighting a very disturbing video regarding Planned Parenthood’s sale of fetal body parts.

Did you know this was happening? I didn’t.

Watch the entire thing:

Did that make you feel very uneasy? It certainly did to me.

  1. I just caught this from a more mainstream source The Hill. While I don’t have a religious or spiritual position on this subject, this is positively disturbing in so many ways. I am sure this woman will not suffer any jail time or be penalized in any capacity because I am sure she has connections with certain members of certain people within the government. The scariest part, which no one will even bother to focus upon was this horrifying quote: “The Federal [partial-birth] Abortion Ban is a law, and laws are up to interpretation. …what ultimately happens does not matter.” This is the hubris of this person that has me believing why she will not be punished in any way. If she is forced to resign or is terminated, she will end up at some other government agency or even running for Senate!!

  2. I don’t understand what is your problem Michael: A woman decided she wants to abort her pregancy, which is totally acceptable form a libertarian point of view, and donates the fetus to research, which helps in finding a cure for cancer for example. The tissues are valuable, because there is scarcity and where there is supply and demand, there is going to be an economy. You might find that distasteful, but there is nothing that is wrong to it from a libertarian point of view.

    • First of all I never said I was a libertarian. I don’t pigeon hole myself into any category whatsoever. Second, I merely said it was disturbing. Third, it might be against the law. Fourth, if they are removing the fetus in a different manner primarily for the purpose of harvesting organs, the mother should be aware of this. Are mothers told? Fifth, people aren’t aware this is happening. My purpose is to make people aware of it, and then let them decide. If this doesn’t bother you, that’s fine. I was sharing it and it deserves to be seen.

  4. Federal law prohibits the sale of body parts of aborted babies. In fact, the sale or purchase of human fetal tissue a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2)

  5. My only objection (assuming the veracity of the video) is that the body parts were sold. I’m a believer in recycling, and the reality is that those body parts have plenty of use. I certainly don’t think anyone should profit from body parts, Planned Parenthood or not (and I do support Planned Parenthood). Recycling aborted fetuses for appropriate medical treatments to benefit society is fine, I don’t think that should be controversial. Should a woman get to dictate what the clinic does to her aborted fetus? At this point I don’t know what my opinion would be…the people I know in my small corner of the world who got an abortion are just glad the procedure is over, though I’m sure plenty of diverging opinions exist.

The video was made by someone who wants to ban abortion, and to me the point of the video is to push the “ick” factor, which of course it succeeded. That said, recycling body parts (which I support) will always be icky–if the material is perfectly usable and can benefit living, breathing people, I don’t see a problem–I see a societal good. The real problem then perhaps, is consent–would the woman consent to have her aborted fetus be “recycled”? And of course, the money—why is someone else profiting off her tissue? And do they even have the right to profit off her tissue? As for myself, I haven’t really had a chance to formulate an opinion regarding these questions.

  7. It was disturbing BECAUSE it was Gross. My grandma used to tell me her medical procedures IN detain, and this is the SAME thing. Nature waists nothing. Nature is sometimes disgusting too. Anti abortionists have always used this tactic. Please do not fall for the sensationalism…..
