This is What Happens if You Defy Curfew – A Shocking 90 Second Video from the Streets of Baltimore

On Saturday night, a man who’s name still seems to be unknown, but who was wearing a “Fuck the Police” t-shirt, came out in front of police past the official curfew. This is what happened next:

The situation in Baltimore is very serious and all Americans should be paying very close attention. In case you missed it, I  recently outlined my thoughts on the topic in the piece: Baltimore as a Microcosm of America.

  1. This is my #1 goal: To end rule by world tyrants who incite racial or religious violence to stay in power.

Martin Luther King, Jr. had this to say about the futility of using violence to accomplish our goal.

“The limitation of riots, moral questions aside, is that they cannot win and their participants know it. Hence, rioting is not revolutionary but reactionary because it invites defeat. It involves an emotional catharsis, but it must be followed by a sense of futility.”

    ― Martin Luther King, Jr.

  2. If angry violent-prone groups were in my neighborhood, and a man with a shirt that said “RAPE Women” came charging at me, I would be grateful that Duly employed men and women who had taken an oath to protect me sprayed pepper spray in his face and took him to the ground, put him in hand cuffs and held him accountable to the law. This Federal Government is actively mobilizing to dismantle the current Police Unions and create their own Personal Military, fully armed and ready to do vile acts against whomever stands in their way.

I am waiting for a Quisling Congress to hold the current Administration accountable to the Law.

We have a Right to Protect Ourselves. Garland Texas is an under reported Example. The Constitution is under siege and Racial Violence is the method of operation being instigated.

    • Really, 500 cops couldn’t subdue one man standing still without pepper spraying him like that? You would have a point if he was charging, but he wasn’t. You inserted that language as if it was a fair comparison. It wasn’t.

  3. “..held him accountable to the law”? Really, there is a law that prohibits wearing “Fuck the police” T-shirts? And you are in total agreement that such people need to be handcuffed and pepper-sprayed? What happened to freedom of speech? What about T-shirts that say “I hate my governor’s taste in women”? Or “Down with all penguins”? The Land of The Free. Right.

    • ha ha ha. down With Penquins and fuck the police; sure, that’s comparable. I saw the video, Mr. Krieger, he wasn’t standing still. He advanced from the other side of the street, presumably to share a spot of tea. I reiterate, we have a right to protect ourselves; from elected officials who are thieves, from derelict oppressors, from maligning “journalists” and from mobs in the street, to name a few, as well as rogue “civil servants” whether they are in the Police Union, the DMV, a judge in a courtroom, or elsewhere. A few sentences can’t convey one person’s thoughts about any one subject, so a thoughtful dialogue would be healthier than a rebuttal. Don’t want to be a statistic in the ruse to Divide and Conquer.

  4. Let me couch this by averring that I am in no way an apologist for the police or the inappropriate use of force.

Now… it’s quite obvious that brother was high as a kite, most likely wet (PCP), as evidenced by the utter ineffectiveness of that pepper-spray blast.

I have ‘some experience’ with heavily-intoxicated patients and you can’t just try to manually restrain one that is looking for trouble unless you’re willing to delve into an ‘indeterminate risk’ situation that can escalate VERY quickly, usually due to staff injury (patient bites and staff starts pounding, by reflex).

The “500 cops” vs. “one man” is entirely irrelevant. The maximum effective ratio for a manual restraint without sedation is considered 4:1… that is 4 staff against 1 subject… more than that, you just get into each other’s way. If you’re going to do administer an injection, you want 1-2 more to stabilize after the restraint, plus the nurse with the needle.

Not to mention there was a crowd of people that had to be considered as hostile observers, at best (they obviously threw something after the takedown).

Pulling him backward off his feet had a high head injury risk (and I’d be coaching and/or reprimanding on that one) but the cop held his shirt collar the whole way down, which mitigated the risk and made a dumb move into a no-harm-no-foul situation.

Overall, the response was appropriate… that guy was dangerous.

Keep up the good work, Michael. I enjoy your site very much,

So, the style of writing doesn’t attain your approval, you didn’t get the response you were hoping for and without an ass kissing you dismiss AND verbally abuse on your thread. Grow up.
