This is just straight up creepy. When even the compliant press turn against you there is clearly something very rotten in Denmark. From Politico:
The White House Correspondents Association is strongly urging the Obama administration to allow press access to the president’s official swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 20, following indications from inauguration committee officials that the event could potentially be closed to the press.
The White House press corps acknowledges that nothing is set in stone. But even the possibility of a closed-press inauguration has stirred up immense frustration among the White House press corps, who note that past Sunday inaugurations were open to press.
“Call me shell-shocked. I’m stunned that this is even an issue; it boggles the mind,” NBC News White House correspondent Chuck Todd told POLITICO. “This is not their oath, this is the constitutional oath. It’s not for them. It’s for the public, the citizens of the United Sates. It just boggles the mind. How is this even a debate?”
Obama’s “second inauguration” in 2009 was not so public. Though Jan. 20 did not fall on a Sunday four years ago, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and President Obama stumbled through the public swearing-in and had to hold a second, private swearing-in the following day. White House aides initially told reporters there would be no second swearing-in, but changed their mind at the last minute. Only four reporters were allowed to attend. Rather than let photographers or television cameras in, the White House provided a photo from the White House photographer.

There is political/cultural tone-deafness; and then there is dropping the pretense you even care.
These are the folks who can stage/fake a photo purportedly in the Situation Room about the op to kill Bin Laden, when they needed to sell that yarn, but won’t broadcast/record/photograph the taking of an oath of public office, when witnessing such a public rite is a public right.
The questions that come to my mind are: who will be in attendance they don’t wish us to know was there? Is the oath altered? Did it happen at all? Again, given this group’s track record, these are not fanciful questions.
Someone said, a nation cannot be imperial overseas and long remain democratic at home. We’re there, man.

It’s high time that maintenance (with a high security clearance) forcefully remove all the doors of these treasonous oath breaking pieces of dung, and confront them with their treason.
I got to say, the past 10 years has turned everything I believed about this country upside down, I’m a veteran and I can’t stand this much more.
They’ve got this fascist crap to the point now with their oath breaking that when they piss people off in righteous anger against them, they can use the DSM 5 to declare them mentally ill, or the NDAA to make them disappear, or the Patriot Act to kill them.
I got to ask. What are we waiting for? What do we have to lose when our lives already suck?
