Lois Lerner Emails Released – She Exclaimed: “Lincoln Should Have Let the South Go…”

Remember Lois Lerner? How could you forget. She’s the former head of the IRS’ Exempted Organizations division who was caught using the agency to target Americans based on their political views.

Well we now have snippets from some of her email conversations, and it becomes crystal clear that she targeted conservatives because, well, she really hates conservatives. Clearly the type of person who should be placed in a position of governmental power.

From the Hill:

Lois Lerner, the central figure in the IRS targeting controversy, called Abraham Lincoln the country’s worst president in an email disclosed in a bipartisan Senate report, according to USA Today.

“Look my view is that Lincoln was our worst president not our best,” Lerner wrote in an email dated March 6, 2014.

Lerner, the former IRS director of Exempted Organizations, joked in one email that the 16th president should have just let the South secede, rather than fighting the Civil War.

“He should [have] let the south go,” Lerner wrote in response to a friend who disparaged Texas as a “pathetic” state. “We really do seem to have [two] different mind sets.”

And what is your “mind set” Ms. Lerner? That government officials should target American citizens if they hold political views you don’t like?

The report also highlighted emails written by Lerner calling conservatives “crazies” and “a–holes.”

Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is your government. Corrupt beyond belief, shady, unethical, dangerous and vengeful.

So why is Lois Lerner not sitting in a jail cell for this clear abuse of power? Because oligarchy.

  1. Have to agree with her. The south was exercising its constitutional right to leave the union. And it had nothing to do with slavery………….

  2. Sorry MK. Like a lot of humor it is based on a kernel of truth. If you don’t see it then why don’t you listen to Billie Holiday sing “Strange Fruit”. Maybe you’ll get a glimmer of understanding.

  3. Beating the dead horse yet again…

The GOP have spent millions in partisan congressional hearings over the last 4 years on this witch hunt and came up empty.

And now she should be in jail for disparaging Lincoln?

When do the cretins on the right start going after the real criminals in America… you know, the ones that fund their representatives.

    Pathetic… as usual.

  4. Lois Lerner is correct that Lincoln was our worst president and that he should have let the South go instead of starting the Civil War. Of course, she says that because she is a hater who does not understand that secession is a right and that she is a horrible person. 5. Praise the Lord! Millions of us have been faithfully repenting and praying for our beloved “God Given” Nation daily! God is moving! I won’t be at all surprised if OBAMA (the illegal) and most of his gang don’t follow! I wonder if our military moved! Oh, I hope so! There is truly NO NEED for the government to have ANY information about us! We should NOT report to them… au con traire, mais ami… they need to report to us! The only GUARANTEED Government intrusion into our personal lives is the IRS! Our country was not founded for this but for true FREEDOM! Close the IRS! The IRS is a foreign corporation collecting money for the Federal Reserve, ANOTHER Foreign Corporation! They are abusive, crooked, grossly mismanaged, sent over 4.3 Billion of our tax dollars in fraudulent refunds per year to illegal aliens alone and cost a whopping 13.3 Billion dollars to do it! We don’t need them! If we institute a “flat rate” sales tax we can cover our Federal “Legitimate” Expenses much more efficiently! The point of sale merchant then makes weekly deposits to our Treasury. We don’t have to keep endless receipts, have the Fed’s checking our books constantly and life is simpler and better! This is ridiculous! We have a right, Endowed by our Creator, to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Once this illegal Foreign Corporation, the IRS are closed, we can do a thorough investigation of who did what and Arrest and Prosecute ALL GUILTY PARTIES! We must fight, be brave, against ALL evil! Never run nor even lag behind! If we would win for God and the Right just keep on the firing line! https://fairtax.org/about/how-fairtax-works

  6. On March 21st 1861 Alexander Stephens, the Vice President of the Confederate States of America gave a speech that came to be known as The Cornerstone Speech. Here’s an excerpt:

The new Constitution has put at rest forever all the agitating questions relating to our peculiar institutions—African slavery as it exists among us—the proper status of the negro in our form of civilization. This was the immediate cause of the late rupture and present revolution. Jefferson, in his forecast, had anticipated this, as the “rock upon which the old Union would split.” He was right. What was conjecture with him, is now a realized fact. But whether he fully comprehended the great truth upon which that rock stood and stands, may be doubted. The prevailing ideas entertained by him and most of the leading statesmen at the time of the formation of the old Constitution were, that the enslavement of the African was in violation of the laws of nature; that it was wrong in principle, socially, morally and politically. It was an evil they knew not well how to deal with; but the general opinion of the men of that day was, that, somehow or other, in the order of Providence, the institution would be evanescent and pass away… Those ideas, however, were fundamentally wrong. They rested upon the assumption of the equality of races. This was an error. It was a sandy foundation, and the idea of a Government built upon it—when the “storm came and the wind blew, it fell.”

Y’all can try and run away from the FACT that the war was about slavery but y’all are living in a fantasy. There’s a lot of great human beings south of the Mason Dixon line but there’s no point in denying the obvious. Hate, rape, subjugation, theft, and slavery were the Cornerstone of the Plantation system….not that the North is any better. The entire American experience has been one of blind rapacity. We all need to admit, make amends, and do better.

  7. I don’t have any love/need/etc for Lois Lerner, but this is pretty weak. Lincoln’s legacy is very much open to debate… I felt a little letdown based on the title of the article- I thought there would be something revelatory.

    • This has nothing to do with Lincoln. It has to do with the mindset of an empowered government official, who hates a certain segment of the population and then uses her power at the IRS to attack that segment.

How is that not the obvious point here?
