Mayor of NYC, Mike Bloomberg, Goes on Anti-Gun Tirade

Well, we all knew this was coming.  The minute I heard of the shooting tragedy in Aurora, Colorado, I was just waiting for all the self-righteous gun haters to come out of the woodwork and use a horrible tragedy as an excuse to get on their soapboxes to spew their hatred on the 2nd Amendment.  I am sorry, but the appropriate response to this event is a heartfelt expression of sorrow to those that lost people and those that actually live in the state.

Instead, what I see are people that live far away from here, mostly in NYC, or some other know-it-all place where guns are already essentially banned (and of course there is no gun violence in NYC) using a tragedy to argue for gun restrictions.  People, this is the exact sort of emotional response that the government used to take away civil liberties since 9/11.  Some people just cannot help being sheep.

The guy that exemplifies everything I said above is wannabe King and current mayor of NYC, Mike Bloomberg.  Here is a guy that wants to ban salt and tell people what to eat and drink and how to breathe.  He is a control freak of the highest order.  In case you missed it, King Bloomberg recently set out to ban large sodas.

With all that said, let’s get to the point of this piece, which relates to comments Bloomberg made on a radio show this morning.  Here is the money quote:

No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them concretely, not just in generalities – specifically what are they going to do about guns? I can tell you what we do here in New York. The State Legislature passed the toughest gun laws – some states may say no. That’s okay, what do you want to do? And maybe every Governor should stand up. But in the end, it is really the leadership at a national level, which is whoever is going to be President of the United States starting next January 1st – what are they going to do about guns?

No matter where you stand on the 2nd Amendment?  The Constitution remains the supreme law of the land and public servants still swear to defend it from “enemies foreign and domestic.”  So the only stand you can have would be to advocate the repeal of this Amendment (good luck) or do what NYC has already done in making it very difficult for citizens to obtain access to firearms (criminals clearly don’t have a problem).

As he mentions in the quote, New York already has very strict gun laws.  Alright, well you are the mayor of NYC pal.  Unless you are trying to set yourself up for a Presidential run (clearly), I suggest you focus on the financial terrorists that call your city home.  Nah, you’d rather evict OWS protestors in the middle of the night to protect your crony capitalist friends.  Mr. Bloomberg, you self-righteous, megalomaniac, please allow the people of Colorado to think for ourselves with regard to guns.  I live 35 miles away and you live 2,000 miles away.  Clean up your own garbage before you tell others how to live their lives.  It is precisely because of people like you, that people like me flee New York and will continue to.  Stop exploiting a tragedy to advance an agenda and mostly importantly leave us in Colorado alone.  We want nothing to do with you.

Finally, do you realize the Swiss are the most heavily armed people on the planet?  Clearly guns are not the problem, but a sick society, and you and your financial oligarch cronies are a much bigger threat to America than guns.

  3. Obama “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen,”

By Obama’s thinking the Colorado Batman movie killer James Holmes taking a doctorate program in neuroscience at the University of Colorado Denver should be able to claim that someone else made that happen and he did not do the killing it was his great government teachers, roads, and bridges.

  4. Is it just me or does it seem like every time that gun legislation comes up in the Congress that some nutcase goes out and starts blasting away? Right now it’s the UN small arms treaty that the Senate will shortly be voting on sometime next week. Naw. That would mean that the establishment is using innocent peoples lives solely to advance their social agenda. I mean that would mean that AG Holder deliberately allowed those guns to go to Mexico so that innocent people would be slaughtered to advance Obama’s anti-gun proposed legislation. That couldn’t happen, could it?

    • Come now, surely you don’ t believe there is any correlation between a vote to control the ownership of firearms and a random mass murder in Aurora? How crazy can you be…

So true and that is on the lines I was thinking when Obama called the gunman evil, because even though it was evil, Obama has been picking out people for Drone hits. Our Gov has put us into invasions that have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people. When our young people see this as normal, what can people expect?
