Video of the Day – Rules for Rulers

screen-shot-2016-10-25-at-2-46-07-pm

The following video is a must watch, particularly in light of my post on corruption published earlier today: Democratic Senate Candidate Evan Bayh Represents Everything Broken, Corrupt and Wrong With America.

It’s called “Rules for Rulers” and it brings home the point that, if we want to make the world a better place, we better understand how the world works.

Enjoy.

In light of what you just learned, what are the implications of the world transitioning to a more robotic and automated workforce? What will the rulers do with all the worker bees when they are no longer needed?

With all the disclosures of criminality by Clinton and Obama and the rest of the connected and the elite you still not voting for Trump
He is the only one with any sort of plan to change the status quo but your to principled to vote for him? Not voting is a vote for the status quo. The new ministry of truth that is soon to be implemented may deem your blog to be unacceptable so you may want to reconsider as you dismount from your high horse

  2. This is a little “off-subject, but I cannot find anywhere else to post it. Does anybody have any influence with the Tea Party? Almost every headline they post is either completely ignored in the body of their post, or maybe just a line or two. That violates generally accepted news posting guidelines—-and is quiet “amateurish”. In addition they start out most of their posts with a “canned” opening, such as, “like a fist to the gut” They fail to understand that busy people peruse the opening of a document and if they sense they have read it before, they move on to another item. And every post ends with a request for a donation. Also, they do not publish a “reply” address so one can comment, unless they donate. However, they usually have some important information. Tea Party, clean up your act!

  3. the video is good until it starts talking about why democracies are better than dictatorships.

it makes a terrible falacious comparison between taxation of citizens and sheer confiscation as a baseline defining characterisitic of the political system. this is totally bogus. he is trying to describe the nature of systems WITH rule of law versus those WIHOUT rule of law. and he is also trying to describe a distinction between the economics of oil based economies versus economies that are more diversified.

the attempt at describing fundamental difference between democracy and dictatorship is laughably simple and misleading. and if you are listening carefully, you can even hear a change in the tone of the narrators voice when the subject of the video changes to praising democracy. why? because he knows he’s spewing balogna.

other than that the first half is spot on.

it goes from a nice concise explanation of the machiavellian dynamics of power which are neutral as according to political systems,——to a 180′ trying to explain why ‘democracy’ is bettter.

i would not be surprised if the cartoon ends by explaining why american should invade iraq again to reintroduce democracy……………./sarc

still, first half worth watching. good job.

  4. I’m afraid with the advent of platform cooperativism, all these rules will get flushed. We are not a democracy in the true sense but we are headed that way real soon. True democracy looks more like social ownership than free markets and private ownership. Power structures as outlined in this video are soon to be obsooete along with capitalism and private ownership of “the Commons”. Once the Commons is back in the hands of the people, there will be no way or reason to hold power.
