Greeks Raid Forests in Search of Wood to Heat Homes

Greece just seems to be getting worse and worse.  Being the leading edge of Southern Europe’s descent into 3rd world status, Greece’s lessons are all of our lessons, as I outlined in my piece last year The Global Spring.  From the Wall Street Journal:

EGALEO, Greece—While patrolling on a recent cold night, environmentalist Grigoris Gourdomichalis caught a young man illegally chopping down a tree on public land in the mountains above Athens.

When confronted, the man broke down in tears, saying he was unemployed and needed the wood to warm the home he shares with his wife and four small children, because he could no longer afford heating oil.

Tens of thousands of trees have disappeared from parks and woodlands this winter across Greece, authorities said, in a worsening problem that has had tragic consequences as the crisis-hit country’s impoverished residents, too broke to pay for electricity or fuel, turn to fireplaces and wood stoves for heat.

Scott Rasmussen: Republican Establishment Declares War on GOP Voters

The following article by Scott Rasmussen offers an excellent description of the escalating battle in America between the citizenry on the ground and the political oligarchs in Washington D.C.  He examines the Republican Party, which after nominating two of the worst candidates possible in the last two elections (and sabotaging Ron Paul) is in total crisis mode as a political party.  From Rasmussen Reports:

Politico explained that while Washington Democrats have always viewed GOP voters as a problem, Washington Republicans “in many a post-election soul-searching session” have come to agree.

As seen from the halls of power, the problem is that Republican voters think it’s OK to replace incumbent senators and congressman who don’t represent the views of their constituents. In 2012, for example, Republican voters in Indiana dumped longtime Sen. Richard Lugar in a primary battle.

So, according to Politico, the Washington team is gearing up a new effort to protect incumbents and limit the ability of Republican voters to successfully challenge establishment candidates.

Debut Interview on Fabian 4 Liberty: Trillion Dollar Stupidity

I first heard of Fabian Calvo in the highly successful micro-doc The Madness of a Lost Society, in which we were both featured.  Earlier this week, Fabian invited me on his radio show for a spirited discussion on economics, the monetary system and social/political trends.  I even gave my thoughts on one of the most … Read more

Sign the White House Petition to Audit U.S. Gold Reserves

The following petition just came out a couple of days ago and I think deserves all of our support.  After all, it was the incredible success of the petition to deport Piers Morgan that led to Alex Jones being invited on CNN during prime time earlier this week.  The shady and unaccountable gold dealings that … Read more

Whistleblower Site “Science Fraud” is Shutdown

Considering how dirty the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is, this appears to be yet another defeat for transparency.  Let’s not forget my post from last summer The FDA is Caught Spying on its Employees and Creating an “Enemies List” in order to recognize the importance of whistleblowing in the era of peak corruption we live in.  From Forbes:

Those of us concerned about the decaying credibility of Big Science were dismayed to learn that the whistleblower site Science Fraud has been shut down due to a barrage of legal threats against its operator.

Operated as a crowdsourced reference site much like Wikipedia, Science Fraud, in its six months of operation, documented egregiously suspicious research results published in over 300 peer reviewed publications. Many were subsequently retracted, including a paper by an author whose lawyer sent Science Fraud a cease and desist letter.

Is Gold and Silver Registration Coming to Illinois?

So let me get this straight.  First they want gun registration and now precious metal registration?  I’m sure the government would only use such information in our best interests, because as we all know: Your Government Loves You.  Sounds reasonable, after all, only “terrorists” buy guns and gold anyway. Meet the ” Precious Metal Purchasing … Read more

Federal Judge: Texas School Can Force Teenager to Wear Locator Chip

I covered this case a couple of months ago in my post The “Electronic Concentration Camp” – Girl Expelled from School for Refusing RFID Chip.  It seems we now finally have a ruling.  Chalk this one up for the fascists.  The answer to such absurdity seems to be homeschooling.  Public schools don’t seem to be teaching our kids much anyway and now they want to track them like animals.  Enough is enough.  From Reuters:

(Reuters) – A public school district in Texas can require students to wear locator chips when they are on school property, a federal judge ruled on Tuesday in a case raising technology-driven privacy concerns among liberal and conservative groups alike.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia said the San Antonio Northside School District had the right to expel sophomore Andrea Hernandez, 15, from a magnet school at Jay High School, because she refused to wear the device, which is required of all students.
