The State of New Hampshire’s experience with terrorism slants primarily towards the domestic type. We are fortunate that our State has not been victimized from a mass casualty event from an international terrorism strike however on the domestic front, the threat is real and here. Groups such as the Sovereign Citizens, Free Staters and Occupy New Hampshire are active and present daily challenges.
- From Concord, New Hampshire’s application to the DHS for an armored police vehicle
It appears there is just a little too much freedom happening in the “live free or die” state of New Hampshire for the local authorities’ comfort level. A copy of Concord, New Hampshire’s application for a BearCat G3 armored vehicle was received by the New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union (NHCLU), and provides shocking insight into the mindset of city officials.
It’s just incredible that these folks would demonize peaceful activists by referring to them as “terrorists” in order to militarize their police force and feel like tough guys. This is further proof that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) does not exist to protect the citizenry from outside threats, but rather to protect the corrupt oligarchic power structure from we the people. More from Mother Jones:
In an application to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeking more than $250,000 to purchase an armored police vehicle, the capital city of New Hampshire specified the local branch of the Occupy movement and the Free State Project, an effort to recruit “liberty-loving people” to relocate to the Granite State, as potential sources of terrorist action.
“The State of New Hampshire’s experience with terrorism slants primarily towards the domestic type,” the filing reads. “We are fortunate that our State has not been victimized from a mass casualty event from an international terrorism strike however on the domestic front, the threat is real and here. Groups such as the Sovereign Citizens, Free Staters and Occupy New Hampshire are active and present daily challenges.”

Care for a side of horse meat with that dose of tetracycline in your chicken wings? Recovery never tasted so good! Basically since 2003, antibiotic use for sick people is flat, but up 50% for use in the meat industry. These stats are shocking. From Mother Jones:
Last year, the Food and Drug Administration proposed a set of voluntary “guidelines” designed to nudge the meat industry to curb its antibiotics habit. Ever since, the agency has been mulling whether and how to implement the new program. Meanwhile, the meat industry has been merrily gorging away on antibiotics—and churning out meat rife with antibiotic-resistant pathogens—if the latest data from the FDA itself is any indication.
Note that that while human antibiotic use has leveled off at below 8 billion pounds annually, livestock farms have been sucking in more and more of the drugs each year—and consumption reached a record nearly 29.9 billion pounds in 2011. To put it another way, the livestock industry is now consuming nearly four-fifths of the antibiotics used in the US, and its appetite for them is growing.
In an email, a Pew spokesperson added that while the American Meat Institute reported a 0.2 percent increase in total meat and poultry production in 2011 compared to the previous year, the FDA data show that antibiotic consumption jumped 2 percent over the same time period. That suggests that meat production might be getting more antibiotic-intensive.

The Obama administration is evil. Sorry, there is no other adjective to describe it at this point. They know they are corrupt, they embrace their corruption and now they are doing everything possible to silence anyone who dares call them out on it. The latest case of Obama’s war on whistleblowers relates to how the Scientific Integrity Officer within the Interior Department, Dr. Paul Houser, was attacked when he started raising some scientific and environmental questions. According to Kate Sheppard of Mother Jones:
When he raised those concerns to then-DOI press secretary Adam Fetcher, Houser says he was told that he should not write anything about them in any electronic correspondence. “He wanted a hard copy, no email,” says Houser, in order to avoid creating any internal correspondence that could be subject to a Freedom of Information Act request. (Fetcher is now the deputy national press secretary for Obama’s reelection campaign.) Houser says his boss, who was out of the office during the initial exchange, also chastised him for emailing other scientists working on Klamath regarding the release. “I was told that the secretary of interior wants to remove the dams, so my actions weren’t helpful,” says Houser.
See how Mr. Fetcher was punished for covering up the truth. He was promoted! How about this revelation from Glenn Greenwald’s latest article on a related topic.
Recently disclosed emails revealed that Jim Messina — then-former White House deputy chief of staff, now the Obama campaign manager – deliberately met with lobbyists for the pharmaceutical industry at coffee houses rather than the White House when drafting the health care bill, and used his personal rather than official email account to communicate with them, in order to evade record-preservation and transparency obligations).
Wow. We are in very big trouble. This is not the time for silence; this is the time for action. The United States is progressing into a mindset best characterized by the Middle Ages. Spread this info far and wide.
