  1. CANNOT “watch the video, it is SO RIFE with BOOMING ads from the VERY A–H___s CAUSING THE Problems we are facing. Why do you SUPPORT THEM by featuring them in almost EVERY video you present? I am FED UP With advertising trying to sell me things I do not want nor need and cannot dream of affording. How about just giving us the info? What’s wrong with you? YOU are now becoming part of the problem. PLEASE get it together, join those of us trying to have a civil society and STOP ALL THESE ADS!!!!

    • Seriously, what is wrong with you? Do you even have the slightest understanding of how the internet works?

I don’t create the videos you see on this site. In this case, the video came from 7News in Miami and the video is an embed of their creation.

      It came from here. http://wsvn.com/news/local/video-shows-moments-before-north-miami-police-shot-unarmed-man/

Anything in the video youu complain about have nothing to do with me. What an unbelievably ungrateful person you are.

    • Seriously WHAT is WRONG with you? If we don’t start refusing to feature or patronize anything with ads, it will only get to the point where the internet will be ONLY ads – – as it is almost is at this point. The internet was not created for ads. If we can make social and political change using the internet, then I say we can affect all these incessant ads. Frankly I am fed up with videos and webpages so riddled with ads that one can barely follow the intended content. Take responsibility and start boycotting all the stupidity. I would rather have been directed to a link with written info or to have been able to read a recap by you than a video with an ad. (Do you REALLY believe the internet is only for ads?)

    • Hi, thank you for your followup rant.

I actually agree about the state of the internet and how it’s overwhelmed by ads. There’s a reason for this. The content monetization model is totally broken on the web. Until that gets figured out, the ads will get worse because unless content creators can make a living, there will be no content.

I wrote about all of this last year in my post Support Liberty Blitzkrieg: https://libertyblitzkrieg.com/support-liberty-blitzkrieg/

If you want to be productive as opposed to just ranting, I look forward to your very generous donation to the site.

  2. The police officer fired because… he… was… TRAINED to do so! And remember, Mike: you posted a video of an ex-Marine who goes around city police HQs as an insurance consultant, telling officers its better to shoot first and ask questions later from a liability point of view. Keep them departmenr
insurance rates low by forcing the city to pay for civilian casualties!

  3. I see a very large payday in this man’s future. And good for him.

But watch for the police to come back with some wild yet consistent story of how a large black man was menacing and not complying or some shit.

  4. This video doesn’t show the entire interaction.

I am confident that this man made a threatening move that compelled the officer to fire upon him, purely in presumed self-defense.

Law enforcement officers have a dangerous job. They put their lives on the line for us every single day to protect us and serve us. We should not presume to judge their decisions when they feel their life is in jeopardy.

Now this person’s attorney is calling for an investigation?!?!?!?!

In a just world, this brave public servant would be commended for the collected restraint he clearly exhibited in the discharge of his sacred and necessary duties by using the absolute minimum degree of force available to him to resolve the situation, with minimal risk to the officer, the assailant and the public at large.

The real culprit here is the sheer audacity of the media outlet: the epitome of sensationalist journalism. Shameful, really.

Hopefully Hillary will put a stop to this sort of salacious rabble-rousing. I know I’m ready!!! =>H

  5. True insanity on the part of the police officer. To shoot in this situation is clearly a deadly assault and attempted murder. He should be tried just the same as anyone else shooting an unarmed, prone individual who was attempting to defuse the situation and clarify who they were and what they were doing.

If ANY CIVILIAN did this they would bury them under the jail. Time to start doing the same to the Boys in Blue or you will see more individuals seeking revenge on police in general. That is the only avenue they are leaving to balance the scale.

    Your move, System.

  6. Let us get all of the facts before we make a judgment call. In the great majority of such events, we usually find there is information that has not been initially revealed. I admit the initial information does not look good for the policeman, but I will wager there is far more to this than meets the eye. And, keep in mind, according to the FBI, there are about 50 thousand police “activities” each day—and for every one that “goes wrong”, at that very moment, there are hundreds and perhaps thousands that “goes right”—Also, remember the recent Ferguson and Boston cases, where eventually it was determined that the initial reports were grossly exaggerated. Here, it might be a case of an accidental firing, or the policeman or others who saw something else. A single shot “to the leg”, just does not fit into the reported events.

    • Three shots were fired. One hit.

Kinsey was “dumbfounded” by the shooting, Napoleon said.

“He should recover physically, but he is really kind of mentally distraught,” the attorney added. “As you can see in the video, he did everything he thought he had to do and then some … and still got shot.”

Napoleon said his client was on the ground with his hands up, as in the video, when shot.

“Nobody got up or approached” the officers, the attorney said, adding that the fact that the officer fired three times shows it was “not an accident.”

Here are some more details: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/07/21/fla-police-shoot-black-man-with-his-hands-up-as-he-tries-to-help-autistic-patient/?postshare=5381469103184809&tid=ss_tw

    • Even if you buy that the shooting was accidental, the police behavior AFTER the shooting was clearly S.O.P. First you shoot (yet another) unarmed black man. Then after the shooting when it was absolutely clear he was unarmed, they handcuff a wounded, incapacitated, and completely nonthreatening citizen and leave him face down on the pavement for 1/2 hour in pain. How much more intentional does it have to get?

And if the autistic man holding the toy truck was the one assumed to be armed, why shoot the black guy? The question would seem to answer itself.

  7. I think this is a terrible case of either a lack of training or inappropriate training and individual judgement of the person who shot this man under the conditions I can see.

Racism is typically a case of people seeing things not as things are, but as they are. That, and projection, and a deep intellectual laziness will always cause racism. The immorality of it is used as justification for more violence. It is easy to define the enemy (righteously or not) and appeals to the simple-minded.

It is not necessarily the most relevant factor in all interactions.

  8. I truely believe the lack of serious repercussions following these shooting is to blame. It is just unbelievable to see these excuses for police officers continuously cleared of charges.

  9. The Miami Police Department has always been one of the most corrupt departments in the nation. They’re right up there with the NYPD, SFPD, NOPD and the APD. The corruption is systemic. So the honest officers haul ass to other cities as soon as they can get a better paying gig.
