Video of the Day – 60 Minutes Explores the Saudi Links to 9/11 Attacks

Screen Shot 2016-04-11 at 9.53.51 AM

I’ve been exploring the obvious links between Saudi Arabia and the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 for several years now. This issue is deeply personal to me. Not only was I working across the street in 3 World Financial Center when the attacks happened, I saw the first tower come down in person as I was fleeing the scene on foot.

The 9/11 attacks have been used by the U.S. government to trample upon our civil liberties and sell the surveillance state to the American public, yet all the while “we the people” continue to be fed a fantasy story of what really happened on that day.

To provide a bit of background on some of what is discussed in the 60 Minutes segment, let me turn your attention to excerpts from the 2013 post, Two Congressmen Push for Release of 28-Page Document Showing Saudi Involvement in 9/11:

Since terrorists attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, victims’ loved ones, injured survivors, and members of the media have all tried without much success to discover the true nature of the relationship between the 19 hijackers – 15 of them Saudi nationals – and the Saudi Arabian government. Many news organizations reported that some of the terrorists were linked to the Saudi royals and that they even may have received financial support from them as well as from several mysterious, moneyed Saudi men living in San Diego.

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly denied any connection, and neither President George W. Bush nor President Obama has been forthcoming on this issue.

But earlier this year, Reps. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C., and Stephen Lynch, D-Mass., were given access to the 28 redacted pages of the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry (JICI) of 9/11 issued in late 2002, which have been thought to hold some answers about the Saudi connection to the attack.

“I was absolutely shocked by what I read,” Jones told International Business Times. “What was so surprising was that those whom we thought we could trust really disappointed me. I cannot go into it any more than that. I had to sign an oath that what I read had to remain confidential. But the information I read disappointed me greatly.”

The public may soon also get to see these secret documents. Last week, Jones and Lynch introduced a resolution that urges President Obama to declassify the 28 pages, which were originally classified by President George W. Bush. It has never been fully explained why the pages were blacked out, but President Bush stated in 2003 that releasing the pages would violate national security.

It’s been two and a half years since I published that post, and 60 Minutes has finally gotten around to covering the story. Better late than never I suppose.

Watch the extremely disturbing segment below (if the embed doesn’t show, watch here:

Of course, many other questions surrounding the 9/11 attacks remain unanswered. For example, I still haven’t seen a convincing explanation for how a 47-story tower that wasn’t hit by a plane imploded on itself.

The very serious experts tell us that WTC7 collapsed due to fires caused by debris from the collapse of the nearby North Tower of the World Trade Center. So not only are we supposed to believe a massive office building came down demolition style without being hit by a plane, here’s the real kicker. A study from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) admits that the collapse of WTC 7 is the first known instance of a tall building brought down primarily by uncontrolled fires.

Here’s an excerpt from the NIST study:

The collapse of WTC 7 is the first known instance of a tall building brought down primarily by uncontrolled fires. The fires in WTC 7 were similar to those that have occurred in several tall buildings where the automatic sprinklers did not function or were not present. These other buildings, including Philadelphia’s One Meridian Plaza, a 38-story skyscraper that burned for 18 hours in 1991, did not collapse due to differences in the design of the structural system

Now watch this video:

You’d think such a bizarre and historic collapse would be huge news, but you’d be wrong. In fact, many government officials simply try to pretend it didn’t happen. For example, this what Defense Secretary at the time of the attacks, Donald Rumsfeld, had to say when questioned on it by radio host Mancow Muller:

Once the U.S. status quo realized they could sell the ignorant American public on this nonsensical 9/11 tale, it knew it could get away with anything, and it has done just that in the subsequent decade and a half.

  2. And that was the Secretary of defense of USA? Lol. He’s certainly not stupid to have risen up the ranks and been in the gov. positions he’s been in. Which means he’s one big fuckin liar. Just like the rest of the political sociopathic traitors.

  3. Hi Michael,

    Great article!
However, I do have two additional remarks:

    – First, if you click on the link on the 60 minutes video, YouTube says it has been removed by the user.

    – Second, James Corbett did a QFC (=Questions For Corbett) today in which he answers 2 questions about the 28 missing pages:
    https://www.corbettreport.com/did-palestinians-celebrate-911-questions-for-corbett-029/
    [timeframe: 6minutes 35seconds to 11minutes 40 seconds]

Corbett says there is a Saudi connection but he also points out that “the 28 pages is a booby trap that has been there since the beginning. This is a get-into-Saudi-Arabia-free-card as in: whenever they need to they can pull the 28 pages out of their hat and say ‘Hey, look at this. Look at what the Saudis did’. They can turn the Saudi-alliance into a Saudi-enemy overnight. It is sitting their as a booby-trap. It’s sitting there to be used. It’s a political tool. And THAT is what it is about.
It’s not going to be: ‘Look, 9/11 was an inside job. Look at all the inside help. [Instead] it’s going to be: Look at those Saudi’s. We’ve got to get Saudi Arabia.'”. Corbett also says to look at who is promoting the 28 pages as the hidden mystery of 9/11. These are senator Bob Graham and other people who are not on your side. These are not 9/11-truth advocates. These are establishment people to the core who are promoting this.

In Corbett’s QFC he also points to some of his earlier work and to an article by Kevin Ryan called “Playing the ‘Get into Saudi Arabia free card'”:

    • Hi Mason, I’ve had some trouble with the video embed, but I added a link to watch it, thanks.

As far as the Saudis, there’s no doubt in my mind they were intimately involved. I’ve been studying this for a long time and writing about the Saudi connection for several years.

That said, this doesn’t negate what Corbett says. I don’t disagree that the shadow U.S. government is holding on to this information to use against the Saudis as leverage. I’d say that’s pretty clear. However, just because it’s being used for blackmail, doesn’t mean it isn’t true. It also doesn’t mean others weren’t involved as well. I think that’s highly likely, but it doesn’t mean the Saudis weren’t at the heart of it.

Either way, the story being in the news is a good thing since it turns the public’s attention back on the issue, and we can use it to point out other discrepancies, such as building 7 and get people questioning the entire thing.

    • Thanks for your reply and for the added link

Yes, that is true. I think you are correct.
Even if the 28-pages are being used as blackmail (which they are), it’s a good thing when the public’s attention is being directed to the discrepancies of the official 9/11 story.

I also think that when the time comes that the 28 pages are actually released, we should be alert in watching how the mainstream media will spin that story, and of which I have absolutely no doubt you already are.
