South Carolina Woman Arrested for Cursing in Front of Her Kids

Screen Shot 2014-08-16 at 3.42.16 PMYou gotta love America. In the same week that the entire world witnessed how U.S. polices forces have been transformed into paramilitary organizations, a woman is arrested in a South Carolina supermarket for cursing in front of her children.

Yep, this is not a joke. Apparently, under North Augusta law “disorderly conduct” includes if a person “utters, while in a state of anger, in the presence of another, any bawdy, lewd or obscene words or epithets.” Sounds like one of those ridiculous laws that remains on the books but isn’t really ever enforced. Except in North Augusta, where apparently police have nothing better to do.

The Huffington Post reports that:

Mom Danielle Wolf was grocery shopping at a Kroger store in North Augusta, South Carolina when she was arrested for disorderly conduct after cursing in the presence of her two daughters, WJBF News Channel 6 reports.

According to the incident report from the North Augusta Department Of Public Safety, Wolf yelled at her children, told them to “stop squishing the f*cking bread,” and used “similar phrases multiple times.” Another woman at the store then approached the mother and asked her to stop using that language with her children.

But Wolf insists this is not what happened. “She’s like, ‘you told that they were smashing the bread’, and I said ‘no’ I said that to my husband, that he was smashing the bread by throwing the frozen pizzas on top of it,” she told WJBF.

But the woman, who was referred to “Ms. Smith” in the police report and later identified as “Michelle” by NBC affiliate WAGT, reported Wolf to the authorities, leading to the mother’s arrest for disorderly conduct.

According to North Augusta law, disorderly conduct can occur if a person happens to “utter, while in a state of anger, in the presence of another, any bawdy, lewd or obscene words or epithets,” WJBF reports. The South Carolina state law’s definitionof the misdemeanor includes “use obscene or profane language on any highway or at any public place or gathering or in hearing distance of any schoolhouse or church.”

Watch the following video on the incident:

This is very similar to a recent story I highlighted since it is one citizen ratting out a fellow citizen for what most of us would perceive to be innocuous behavior. In that prior case a woman was arrested for allowing her 7-year-old son walk to a neighborhood park alone. Let’s also not forget the sad and ridiculous case of: New Jersey Threatens to Take 13-Year-Old Student From His Father Due to “Non-Conforming Behavior.”

Yet not a single Wall Street executive has been prosecuted for the financial fraud that caused the global meltdown in 2008.

USA! USA!

  1. ’bout time they started arresting these foul mouthed pigs. Even nice neighborhoods are starting to sound like the ‘hood. If she had decided to take a dump on the street, should we have allowed that too?

    • Interesting take, especially since the woman who ratted her out has publicly admitted she made a mistake, apologized and said she never wanted her arrested:

“Michelle Smith, the woman who reported Wolf to the police, later apologized to Wolf over the phone, and the call was recorded in a video by WAGT.

In the video, Smith explains that she never intended to have Wolf arrested and that she was only trying to advocate for the children. ”

So it’s you and your idiot army of one with that opinion. Find other sites to troll.

  2. The problem here is freedumb. America has turned into freedumb-land. You have two mobs in the US with a few outcasts stuck in between.

On one side you have indoctrinated liberals who went to college and feel since they are so indebted from trying to “earn” a degree that they must be smart. They tend to feel they have the “right” to tell you exactly how to live.

On the other side, you have idiots like this “mother” who feel since they live in freedumb-land that they have the “right” to be as anti-social as possible and to just exist in any manner they choose because they have freedumb.

One side hates free individuals, and the other side mocks them…
