The Line to See “Girls” Creator Leah Dunham at SXSW Was 10 Times Longer than for Snowden

Nothing against Leah Dunham, but the fact that the line to see her speak at SXSW was 10 times longer than the line to hear Edward Snowden (they spoke at the same time earlier today) reflects quite poorly on our society’s priorities.

Not that there was ever any doubt.

Earlier today, USA Today reported:

Update at 11:38 a.m. ET: We’re about 25 minutes away from the start of Snowden’s chat and lines are already forming.

But, according to USA TODAY’s Jon Swartz, reporting from SXSW, lines for a competing chat with Girls star Lena Dunham are 10 times longer than the the line for Snowden’s talk.

The Truman Show rolls on.

  1. Complete drivel is what the masses need to fill the emptiness of their lives. I will never watch a show when the creator and star yells at someone for being questioning the content and stifling dissent. I cannot find a link, but read about her aggressive behavior a while back.

  2. I had to look up who Lena Dunham is… I still don’t have a clue why anybody would wait in line for her. If it were Scarlet Johansen, I’d understand.

  3. Lena does support little commie’s pulling off that bold Racism Hoax @ her alma mater, commie clown college Oberlin. She started her long career of extremely pukifying sucky pathology @ Oberlin!
