This is Your Congress – NY Rep. Threatens to Throw Journalist Off Balcony and “Break Him in Half”

New York, the state of my birth and former home, sure knows how to pick its Congressional Representatives. From Peter King, who for all intents and purposes thinks he is living the life of a capo in a real life Goodfellas movie, to Michael Grimm, another Republican Congressman, these people are literally thugs. As I have said before, I have a lot more respect for the mafia than I do for politicians and bankers, at least the mob faces jail time.

So here’s what happened. From Real Clear Politics:

After being asked by NY1 reporter Michael Scotto about the investigation, Grimm replied, “That’s off-topic. This is only about president’s speech,” and walked off camera.

Scotto briefly concluded his report, and Grimm — assuming the broadcast was over — returned to admonish the reporter. The camera remained on, however. “Let me be clear to you: You ever do that to me again, I’ll throw you off this f—— balcony,” Grimm threatened.

After a brief back-and-forth about the validity of the question, Grimm concluded, “No, no, you’re not man enough, you’re not man enough. I’ll break you in half. Like a boy.”

Never forget that these are the people voting on everything from your civil liberties to going to war. Frightening.

*Update: I just realized that Michael Grimm is a former FBI agent. It all makes perfect sense now. This is the personality type that joins the FBI and then runs for Congress.

Oh, and it gets even better. Back in 1999 when he was employed by the FBI he was involved in an altercation at a Queens club called Caribbean Tropics (read about it here). He reportedly threatened a guy by saying “he don’t know who he’s fucking with … I’ll fuckin’ make him disappear where nobody will find him.”

He later denied saying that, claiming “I don’t need to speak that way.” Um, clearly you do…

  1. Aayy, Yooo, he be from Brooklyn, ya’ll. Like many of those ‘elected’ oligarchs, they believe they are better than everyone else, more entitled to decide for us all what is best for us and clearly have no respect for themselves, the rule of law or anyone that dares question what they do or say. I find this narrative especially trending in the Left lately and that is oddly ironic. These Dems are the ones supposedly for more social programs directed at ‘the people’ unlike those greedy GOPers (who I also do not support, with rare exceptions like Amash) that only care about corporations. A peaceful revolution will not be enough to shake these people out of their cozy lofts, unfortunately.

  2. i 2nd that sentiment.

you know, these people, the media and many citizens in the usa say you have to respect the office and those in office. these same people are knowingly putting the usa’s financials at risk, have cut veterans benefits and will tell you they will supprt you one day and the next vote in complete opposition.
if these people were your boss, you’d quit or a friend, you would find a new friend; but we’re supposed to have respect for them when they have none for you.
you are just a vote or tax revenue for them, nothing more. your best bet is to make it so you dont need them and they dont want you.(i wish i came to this realization 10 years ago).

    • Indeed. I did err, as I read through Mike’s commentary so fast, I did not see Grimm was a Rep. I thought he was a Dem. But I stand by my comments. These people have no clue about common people, the middle class and are all political elitists that run through revolving doors of lobbying and finance it is obscene. I was a born Libertarian style thinker before I even knew who Ron Paul was, what the fiscal conservative beliefs with the liberal social beliefs was all about since I was reading Ayn Rand, and believed in many of the virtues of which she espoused, at such a young age.

There is a glimmer of hope as there are greater number of Independents on the rise and we as a group can call for and demand greater personal liberty & freedoms.
