The “Pardon Edward Snowden” Petition is Exploding with Signatures…Sign Here

Yesterday, someone created a “Pardon Edward Snowden” petition on Whitehouse.gov and I’ve never seen a petition get this many signatures this fast.  Recall, the Administration raised the threshold on these petitions from 25,000 to 100,000 back in January.  This threshold represents the amount needed to garner a White House response.  This petition already has 21,500 signatures in less than a day.  I’d like to see it get to one million. If it gets a massive amount of signatures it will be a major statement, media story and embarrassment to Obama.  Please consider signing it here, I have done so.

  1. Interesting! I went to the White House site and was informed that I have already signed the petition…which I haven’t!

  2. What about these other whistleblowers?! Bradley Manning, John Kiriakou, Jeremy Hammond, Barrett Brown!!! You should have added them to your petition. They have been suffering for months, some of them years! for their role as whistleblowers for the Nation and desperately need your support!

  3. Bruce – I just visited the page and saw the same message. I’ve only signed one other petition, so wondering if it is a cookies error… At this point I suspect it is something more nefarious. Please keep an eye out for this issue and keep it on the radar. I sure will find a way to sign it.

  4. I’ll sign it if I can.

But shouldn’t the real drive be to impeach Obama and prosecute both he and Bush & their henchmen?
