Time Magazine Cover: This is What Propaganda Looks Like

Still don’t believe mainstream media outlets are engaged in deliberate propaganda against U.S. citizens?  If not, these images should shake you out of your stupor.  I’ve pointed out the difference in Time Magazine covers for the U.S. market versus what they show the rest of the world before, and at times it is nothing short of incredible.  In this case, they show political mobster, and Chicago mayor, Rahm Emmanuel on the cover.  Not only does nobody care about this clown, he is certainly not the most important story on earth this past week. Meanwhile, look at what is highlighted to everyone else on the planet.  How utterly embarrassing.

  1. Mike, just a thought. Given the power of language I’m thinking we who participate in and with the ‘alternative media’ (i.e., LibertyBlitzkrieg!) ought to call the corporate media by its proper name: the CORPORATE media. To call them “mainstream” lends them a credibility that they have clearly lost. This has been accentuated since my youth when there were 50+ major news organizations, while now there are about 6.

    • I agree with that and on a tweet about this I did write, mainstream government/corporate media. Good suggestion, thanks.

  2. I am pleased to say that 98% of my news/media is from alternate, non-CORPORATE sources via Twitter and email updates from great minds like Mike Krieger. Tuning into FOX, MSNBC, etc. is purely for entertainment purposes. Calling them ‘media’ these days is akin to calling a politician honest.

  3. How about Mainstream propaganda? Corporations also include a lot of small businesses that are incorporated. Perhaps “Government sponsored media”? Anyway, something has to work.
