Greek Journalist Issued Arrest Warrant After Publishing Names of Bureaucrats with Swiss Accounts

Kostas Vaxevanis, one of Greece’s most famous investigative journalists, has been issued an arrest warrant for daring to publish a list of high-profile Greeks with Swiss bank accounts; a list that includes “a former Greek culture minister, several employees of the Finance Ministry and a number of business leaders.”  This is very similar to what just transpired in the U.S. where CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou was given a three year prison sentence for exposing torturers, while the torturers themselves are granted immunity.

As we can see, the problem is a global oligarchy that acts as Feudal thugs and protects each other across borders.  There should be no fighting among nations, but rather a concerted effort by the people in all nations to rid themselves of the parasitic oligarchs.

From the New York Times:

ATHENS — A former Greek culture minister, several employees of the Finance Ministry and a number of business leaders are on a list of more than 2,000 Greeks said to have accounts in a Swiss bank, according to a respected investigative magazine. The Greek magazine, Hot Doc, published the list on Saturday, raising the stakes in a heated battle over which current and former government officials had seen the original list passed on by France two years ago — and whether they had used it to check for possible tax evasion.

Hours after the magazine hit newsstands, Athens prosecutors issued a warrant for the arrest of Kostas Vaxevanis, the owner and editor of Hot Doc, “where names from the Lagarde list have been published,” the Athens police said in a statement on their Web site. They said he was sought on misdemeanor charges; the Greek media reported that the charges were related to violating the privacy of those on the list.

Citing privacy concerns for those on the list, Hot Doc said it had redacted how much money was said to be in each account, but added that some accounts were listed as containing as much as 500 million euros.

Greeks, what are you waiting for? Your economy is already dead, clean out your trash.

  1. “There should be no fighting among nations, but rather a concerted effort by the people in all nations to rid themselves of the parasitic oligarchs.”

Not going to happen until inflation starts to kill the 99% off. People are so clueless it’s beyond ridiculous. The fact that people will be lining up to vote red or blue next week tells you everything you need to know.

Not until it hits the fan will any material movements take place. By then, it will be too late for most people to protect themselves.
